SCOTTISH COLLIE CLUB
AGM
10th February 2008.
The AGM was held on Sunday the 10th February 2008, there was a good turn out considering there was a show on at Dumfries. Apologies were made, the minutes of the last AGM were read and passed, there was no business arising out of the minutes. The only correspondence was the minutes of the breed council meeting, this was handed round for the members to read, the other letter was a letter from Gwen handing in her resignation, due to her current health problems she would not be allowed to do the secretaries job as well as she would like. This was discussed at committee and I said that I would step down as president and put myself up for the post as secretary if Gwen would stand for president, this was put to the members at the AGM I told them to think it over before we came to selecting the office bearers.
I read my report, thanked everyone for coming and said that we had a very good year with 3 very good shows. I thanked everyone for their help at the December show as Gwen and I were not up to par, Gwen not long out of hospital and me well I had broke my ankle and my leg was in plaster, so a big thank you to all of you. The balance sheet was passed and it was decided to keep the same auditor. It now came to the election of the office bearers I proposed Gwen and it was seconded by both Alyson Carmichael and Jack McKenzie Gwen is now your president I hope that you all give her the support that you gave to me. Vice President is now Beryl McKenzie, Eileen is still treasurer I was proposed for secretary by Jack McKenzie and seconded by Esther Hitchcock, there were no other nomination so I am now your secretary so I hope that you will all bear with me while I get into my new job. The committee is as follows : Robin Blaikie, Gillian Blaikie, Alyson Carmichael, George Hartley, Stephen Hartley, Esther Hitchcock, Clive Hitchcock, Jack McKenzie, Cathy Proctor, Charles Phillips, Mrs. Peat and Mr. Peat
The committee had made a proposal that we go back to a B list and a C list as per Kennel Club rules and regulation, this was discussed and decided to go with the change.
It was also proposed that the membership fees be increased to joint £6, single £4, and junior members £2 this was also agreed so these proposals shall be sent to the Kennel Club There was no other business and the meeting closed at 2.35pm.
A vote of thank was given to the chair by Jack McKenzie.
