SCOTTISH COLLIE CLUB
2008-06-01
My thanks to the committee for a lovely day and also to those exhibitors who entered their bitches.
One of the things that surprised me most, were the amount of collies with broad backskulls and very low set ears. The correct collie expression cannot be achieved unless ears are correctly placed on the top of the head, but overall, I was very pleased with my winners.
MINOR PUPPY
1st Fort’s Shulune Sucha Delight
Just my type lovely arched neck into good shoulders, correct length of back, and excellent bend of stifle which caused her to stand a little slack this will improve with age. Her expression is very nice, well placed almond eye, good flat skull and well set ears. Moved well. Lovely presentation. Should have a bright future
2ndMcCann’s Zolkhan Miss Moneypenny
Lovely shaded baby of just 6 months, excellent conformation, nice head and eye, ears well placed. Very well presented. Just a bit overwhelmed by the occasion. Will do well when she settles.

PUPPY
1st Jones’ Erjon Edged in Black.
This little girl really took my eye. She has the most beautiful expression, lovely sweet eye and small neat ears giving the true collie expression, typical of this kennel. Her head is a joy to handle perfect wedge with the correct amount of stop. Arched neck on well laid back shoulders, good bend of stifle, lovely tail carriage. Res CC BPB and on the referees decision BPIS

LIMIT
1st Sibbald’s Lynmead Love me to at Telforth
Lovely sable: has a super outline her head is correct and she has a very typical collie expression, moved well coming and going. Presentation was first class; I would’ve loved to have seen her shown free, as I feel being strung up spoiled the overall picture.

Tri colour, it’s no secret that this is a favourite of mine, She has the
flattest of skull with the right amount of stop, rounded muzzle& good underjaw. Correctly placed ears which she used well, giving that melting expression which is so difficult to get in a tri. Lovely reach of neck, correct length of back for her height, good spring of rib and well let down hocks. Correct tail set. Moved with drive. Presentation was perfect. Deserves to be in the upper house. Pleased to award her the CC.
