Irish Circuit 2006

Well it has been Curcuit time again. We all started this year at the Navan Show on the 19th Aug 2006 the judge on the day was Mr. R. Baker, the entry was normal for the Irish shows. Dave Thomson done well showing Mr. Nicholson's dog puppy Lomondvale Morning Mist. He handled this dog through out the curuit  and won many placings. He also won with his and Edith's bitch Steelhurst Black I ce for Lomondvale & Steelhurst Secret Passion at Lomondvale. Ruth Ashe won a 1st with Hanvale The Best Man at Forrestwalk. Charles & I won a 1st with Abberquarrie Sweet Dreamer at Philjanco. Jean Brown, Alyson Carmichael, Carol & Mark Best, Barbara MacRae, Bob & Lucy Ezard, Eileen Forrest, Dave & Edith Thomson Ella & Ruth Ashe, Charles & myself all done well. Dave & Edith won Green Star Bitch and B.O.B. with Lomondvale Golden Dream. Well done to everyone at Navan.

Still on the Sat. The Rough Collie Club of Ireland held their Ch. Show in Association with Navan, Judge there was Mrs. M. Palgi (Dolmaris). She is a breed specialist, been breeding and exibiting since 1077, she awards CAC'S this was her first time judging in Ireland. Bob & Lucy Ezard won withM.P.D.  Stronvar Blue Boy with Manacesoo. Barbara MacRae, Alyson Carmichael, Dave & Edith Thomson, Jean Brown, Charles & I also got first placings. Jean Brown went on to win Green Star Bitch and Best in Show, Bob & Lucy Ezard won Best Puppy. Well done to all, sorry if I have missed you out but my sect. hadn't marked all the catalogue. Sunday we were down at Clonmell the judge was Mr. G. Jeavons. Stronvar Blue Boy with Manacesoo won puppy dog with Lomondvale Morning Mist 2nd.Puppy bitch was B. Mac Rae's Roanburn Cherry Cake at Benvasal. Junior bitch Aberquarrie Sweet Dreamer at Philjanco. Intermediate bitch Eskmuir Classique. Adult bitch Stronvar She's a Miracle. Veteran bitch was Carol & Mark Best's Trixwood Exclusively Blue, she went on to win Green Star Bitch and B.O.B. Jean Brown won the C.A.C.I.B. with Stronvar She's a Miracle. Best puppy Roanburn Cherry Cake at Benvasal. again well done to everyone that was placed at the show. We now move on to Killarney 22nd Aug. for our 4th show, this is hard going and very tirring but the dogs bare up well. So far the weather has not been on our side with rain all day sat. some sunday and some today tuesday, there is a little sun at times but who cares we are all enjoying ourselves. Getting back to the show at Killarney, Puppy Dog; Lomondvale Morning Mist, 2nd Starlenga Paddington Bear at Philjanco. Novice Dog, Eskmuir Ace of Elegance. Grad Dog, Hanvale the Best Man at Forrestwalk. Novice bitch;Eskmuir Sweet Chadonney, Grad Bitch, Stronvar Simply Amazing. Limit Bitch, Stronvar She's a Miracle. Well done everyone.

Aren't our Scottish Collie Club Members doing well this year. We are half way through the circuit and everyone is having a good time even if the waether is not so good. Thursday takes us to Limerick show at Ardare where the judge will beMr. B. Skalin from Finland. We arrive at the show eary in the morning for we are 3rd in the ring. Puppy D. Lomondvale Morning Mist, 2nd Starlenga Paddington Bear at Philjanco. Puppy Bitch, Roanburn Cherry Cake at Benvasal, 2nd Lomondvale Chrissy Pressie for Trixwood, Junior Bitch, Aberquarrie Sweet Dreamer at Philjanco, 2nd Goldenbar Sweet Dream at Kilchrenan. Grad. Bitch, Eskmuir Classique. Limit Bitch Lomonvale Golden Dream, 2nd Stronvar She's a Miracle. Dave & Edith Thomson took Green Star Bitch and B.O.B.  with Lomondvale Golden Dream.  Just 2 shows left, Tralee on Sat and the All Ireland Collie on Sunday. A few stay on for the Drogheda show before returning home. Ther has been a lot of new faces on the curcuit this year Barbara MacRae, Mark & Carol Best, Mark & Carol also have Japanese Shibainu and they have been doing well showing them. Ella & Ruth Ashe, they also had their Border Collies with them and done very well. Saturday and an other early start as it will take us a good 2 hours to get there. The waether this morning is dull and wet, but the rain cleared away as we were getting ready to go into the ring with roughs. The show started at 9.30am and we were in the ring after the Shetland Sheepdogs, just before I tell you about the roughs I would lke to congratulate Doris & Leanda Scott on making their Bitch up this year to an Irish CH.  very well done. Now on with the results of the roughs, the judge today was Mrs. P Scales from Australia, Puppy D. Stronvar Blue Boy with Manacesoo, 2nd Starlenga Paddington Bear at Philjanco. Puppy Bitch, Roanburn Cherry Cake at Benvasal, 2nd Lomondvale Chrissy Pressie for Trixwood. Junior Bitch Goldenbar Sweet Dreamof Kilchrenan, 2nd Aberquarrie Sweet Dreamer at Philjanco. Grad Bitch Eskmuir Classique, 2nd Stronvar Simply Amazing.  Limit Bitch, Stronvar She's a Miracle, this bitch also got Res Green Star. 2nd Steelhurst Black Ice for Lomondvale. Open Bitch 2nd Trixwood Exclusively Blue. Well that is the end off the Irish Curcuit for another year, we still have the Collie Show to-morrow Sunday the 27th Aug after that it is home for some and a week of rest for the people they stay on. Sunday the 27th Aug and it is the All Ireland Collie Show, this is the club that is twinned with the Ayrshire Collie Club. Bill and Joan came over to represent  the Ayrshire, it was very nice to see them there. The S.C.C.  & THE A.C.C.  members that won today are Minor Puppy D. 2nd Lomondvale Morning Mist. Puppy D. Novice Bitch Eskmuir Sweet Chardonnay, she was also the Res Green Star winner. 2nd Roanburn Cherry Cake at Benvasal. Grad Bitch 2nd Eskmuir Classique. Limit Bitch 2nd Kilchrennan Krystal Ice, 4th Stronvar Soon to be a Witch at Manacesoo. Open Bitch 3rd Lomondvale Golden Dream.

Well that is the end for some, they are of home on monday. Jean, Alyson & her mum, Bob & Lucy, Charles and myself stay on for another week to relax after all the travelling that has to be done in the first week. We are of to the Wicklow Hills where we will stay until after the Drogheda show. The weather is still very unsettled.

Sat 2nd Sept still in Ireland, today we are of to Drogheda show the judge is Mr. Robin Searle.  OH BUT the weather today, what can I say it is wet very wet, we must daft going to a show in weather like this, we wouldn't even think about it if we were back home. Charles and I are back sitting in the caravan after the show the sun is out at the moment but looking at the sky not for long.The results are Puppy Dog, Starlenga Paddington Bear at Philjanco he also took the Res. Green Star Dog, 2nd Stronvar Blue Boy with Manacesoo. Karen O'Neil took the Green Star Dog with Lynmead Lust After Me at Caronlea.

Jean Brown was 1st in Grad with Stronvar Simplt Amazing. Open Bitch Stronvar She's a Miracle she went on to get Green Star Bitch and B.O.B.
