Eskmuir

After a few years of going to shows and studying various breeds, I knew I so wanted a sable&White "lassie" type dog.  For me they are so dignified, full of character and love.   In 1992 I took the plunge and travelled to what I thought, at that time, was the other end of the world - Wales!   From an advert I purchased my first show girl Megan (daughter of Brylyn Supertramp ex Newloc Vanity Fair) from the late Wendy Bobbett.   Megan was such a fun loving and loyal pal to me and although she would rather have fun she was a successful show girl during the first 4 years of her life.   I learned so much with her in the ring and when I realised she would rather be a "lady of leisure" I returned to Newloc Collies and

bought Mara (daughter of Jayverley superted ex newloc) in 1997.  Mara was born a show girl with much success and to this day (2006) she is still thinking she is a youngster running around with toys and playing.   From Mara I had 2 litters keeping

Amy (Eskmuir Sweet Inspiration) and Hannah (Eskmuir Elegance).  Over the last 2 1/2 years I had such pleasure and success showing Amy - unfortunately she was tragically killed while travelling with me in our car.   From Hannah I took a litter and kept

Elgin-Boy a very gentle and close companion to me.  He also has done well in the show ring and is now nearly three years old.  Amy's legacy still shines through her 2 youngsters

 Kirsty

                                                                 and

                      Trudy

What do I say about these "twosome gruesomes", both are so cheeky full of themselves and there is never a day they fail to make me smile with their antics.  What a pleasure to own and somehow they have their late mum's winning streak.

I have a small number of kennels but I do know I have a loving and happy group of rough collies who have done me proud.   I chose the name ESKMUIR firstly because the river ESK flows yards from where I stay and I walk the dogs daily along its banks and secondly MUIR being part of the name of the farm house where I still have happy memories from my earlier life.  I had then pet rough collies who were also so loyal and full of fun.
