SCOTTISH COLLIE CLUB
COLLIE OF THE YEAR
TINTO HOTEL
26th APRIL 2008
This is our second Collie of the Year competition, again I would like to thank
Gwen for arranging it all, it takes a lot of time and effort and for the members
to give thier support makes it all worth while. The entry for the competition was
very good and the evening dinner and dance was great. Our judges this year were
Mr. & Mrs Crozier and Mrs. Gill Blaikie, out of all the open show entrants they
selected Mrs. Fort's tri colour bitch Danfrebek Be Dazzled and the championship
section was Mrs. Franks with her sable /white bitch Danfrebek Truly Mady Deeply
With Alanita well done, also well done done to every one that qualified and took
part. The weather this year was not very good with rain in the morning so we had
to hold the competition inside, this didn't put any of the dogs off they all
showed very well and were all on their best behaviour, think they like staying
in a hotel getting all the attention. The weather cleared up in the afternoon so
by the time we were finished the dogs could get a good run in the large gardens.
The dinner and dance at night was a great success, the meal was excellent with
plenty to eat so when the disco started we were rather full to dance straight
away, once we had a rest, a chat and a few light refreshments the dance floor
was crowded. Everyone had a really good evening, so thank you all for your
support.
I would also like to thank our sponsors Royal Canin, the winners received a bag
of food and ever qualifier received a small bag of dog meal, thank you very
much.
Thank you to the Tinto Hotel for allowing the Scottish Collie to use their Hotel
for this yearly event the staff were very helpful and every thing was just
right.
