Championship Show

I would like to thank the committee for the honour of judging at this well run show.  Overall the quality within the breed seems reasonable, as a result of which I was pleased with my final line-up and hopefully could show the ringside what I was looking for.   All the final decisions were in agreement with my co Judge.

Bitches

MPB (61) 1st Forts Danfrebeck Sheer Design

Blue merle baby of 6 months with a lovely overall shape and nice reach of neck giving correct outline.   Correct ear carriage and good shape and placement of eye giving alert expression.  Stood four square and moved well enough for one so young.   B.P.B.

2nd – Macrae Roanburn Sugar Snap at Benuasal

Sable and white youngster who has nice sweet expression.  Good eye of correct shape.  Correct head planes and length of neck leading to well sprung rib cage.  Moved well which her shape would suggest.

3rd – Szmitz Levenbank Tinkie Winkie

P.B. (3,1ass) 1st Szmitzs Levenbank Crickey She’s Cute

Sable of only 8 months.   A lot to like in this puppy, well moulded and balanced head, sweet expression from nice dark almond shaped eye.  Well placed ears, good bone and well proportioned body.  Covered by well groomed coat.

2nd – Kaye Danfrebek Voodoo Child

Workmanlike sable head is balanced.   Well placed eye which gave her a sweet expression.  Well placed ears, good bone and well laid shoulders.  Moved well.  Needs a little more coat to complete the picture.

Jun (7-1) 1st Brooker Caronlea Celtic Connection with Corisian

Sparkling star of the show, the ultimate in femininity with the sweetest of expressions that could melt the hardest of hearts.   Head of lovely planes with well chiselled foreface and good underjaw.   Ears always right on top of her head.   Well arched neck and correct shoulders.   Good spring and depth of ribs with level topline.   Profuse well groomed coat that completed the picture as she stood four square.   Moved soundly front and rear.   Delighted to award her CC and BIS.   Will surely finish in the upper house before long.

2nd – Smith Aldermead Kirsten Dunst

Sable and white.   Another lovely typey bitch similar remarks to winner.  Just felt she has lost her bloom.   Will watch her future with interest.

3rd – McIntyres Starlenga Legally Bonde with Meryetin

Yearling (7-2) 1st Sibbald Synmead Love me to at Telford

Another lovely bitch from the top drawer.  Good make and shape.   Lovely head, eye and expression.   Well sprung ribcage, good turn of stifle and short well let down hocks.  Moved well.   Coat was a little lifeless today.

2nd – Franks Danfrebek Truly Madly Deeply with Alanita

Sable bitch with a lot to like about her.   Good head and well shaped eyes.  Neck and angulation was correct.   Lacks coat at the moment to complete the picture.   Would prefer her ears to be a little less heavy but overall a nice bitch.

3rd – Mains Scotiablue Belle Nicghorm

Post Grad (11-4) 1st Kerr Aintshe Just Jasmine

Blue merle of nice colour and well broken markings.  She has a beautiful body shape.  Well balanced but compact.   Lovely spring of rib and well bent stifle.  Head of correct planes with nice dark eye giving sweet expression.   Moved soundly and stood four square showing herself to best advantage.   Just needs a little more coat to finish off.

2nd – Forrest Eskmuir Classique

Lovely sable who just would not settle to the task today.  She has lovely dark eye of correct almond shape giving dreamy expression.  Nice make and shape.  Moved well.

3rd – McGowan Roughrigg Razz Girl at Westoak

A really lovely class of bitches.

Limit (14 3) 1st Smiths Aldermeade Heidi Klum

Golden sable who was very unlucky to meet Celtic Connection in such form.   Really eye-catching bitch.  Presents an excellent balanced profile.  Head has all the required attributes with dark almond shaped eye giving sweet expression.  Nice arched neck.   Well laid shoulder and decent ribcage.   Moved well fore and aft, all completed by good clean and excellently presented coat.   R.C.C.

2nd – Hassocks Camanna Carmen Miranda

Tricolour of similar make and shape of class winner and another quality bitch.  Good head and expression.   Has a real arch to her neck with good shoulders.   Quality head eye and expression.   Moved sound as a bell.   Splitting hairs with winner.

3rd – Wray Takhisis Lady Lucia

Open (8-2) 1st Graingers CH Samhaven Toast of the Isles

Nice sable bitch who has all the required qualities.   Sweetest of heads, well set ears, which she used to good effect.   Nicely proportioned body shape with quite spotlessly presented coat.   Just more coat to complete the overall picture.   Moved soundly both directions.

2nd – Collins CH Salsina Celtic Rosebud at Triburle

Shaded sable who is a worthy champion.  Oozes type when standing.  Correct head planes, good eye and sweet expression.   Well presented and moved soundly.   She seemed to have limited interest in proceedings today.

3rd  - Ford Danfrebeck Dark n Dainty

Veteren (3-1) 1st Johnston and Buchanan Just the One for Geosamka

Blue lady of 8.5 years who was really enjoying her day out.  Nice type with good shape.  Head has correct planes.   Stood and showed herself off.  Moved soundly.

2nd – Kerr Castlemaddy Classic Red

Sable lady who is very similar to winnder so same remarks apply.   Just lacked confidence of first.
